Miss Bipana Subedi is 9 years old. She has physical disability with cerebral palsy. She is living at Pokhara sub-metropolitan city ward no – 5, Kaski.

Her mother is house wife and father is working in a nongovernmental organization.

According to her medical history, because of prolonged delivery labor, she was born after vacuum delivery. At that time, she didn’t cry and suck the mother’s breast. She started sucking her mother’s breast after one month only.

Bipana met our organization before she was 6 years old. At that time she couldn’t control her head. Then we started to provide therapy and counseling service to her according to her problem and needs by regular home visits.

Bipana likes to play and talk with her parents and siblings. She can communicate by using sign and eye contact.

Her parents have good social prestige within their own community and relatives. There are not any obstacles to involvement at the different social events.

Now, she is getting regular therapy and counseling service from our organization. We have provided toileting chair and wheelchair for her, using a toilet chair is very helpful to her and she can move around house by using the wheelchair with help from parents. She can control her head now and is trying to sit on chair with support. She is developing her vocabulary.

Her father and mother are happy with our organization for our service and her progress. Her mother always attends the Self Help Group (SHG) meeting. She can do therapy to Bipana herself.
